What is prosthodontics?

Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.

Why would I see a prosthodonist?

Prosthodontists are specialists in one specific field of dentistry.  After earning a dental degree in general dentistry, an additional 3 years of education is required to earn an advanced degree in prosthodontics. Prosthodontics involves not only training and experience, but also innate talent of artistry, spatial dimension and engineering. This subset of dentistry focuses on (but is not limited to): implant crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, partial dentures, fixed appliances, and all other areas of aesthetic dentistry.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major dental insurance providers, and are a participating member (PPO) of Washington Dental Service, a Delta Dental Plan, and Premera Blue Cross. We prepare Pre-authorization of Treatment documents and assist in utilizing maximum insurance benefits. We will also submit your insurance claim on your behalf.

Dental insurance is meant to assist you financially. For your remaining balance for services rendered, financial arrangements are made prior to beginning treatment in order for you to be informed of your responsibility.

Talk to us about the plan you are on and we will help you determine your coverage. We also accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover cards, cash and checks.

How soon can I get an appointment?

Upon calling the office for an Initial Examination appointment, we will be pleased to appoint you as soon as possible, and assist you in all matters regarding scheduling. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30am – 4:00pm. We attempt to accommodate our patients with convenient appointment times. Should you need to reschedule your appointment, we appreciate 48 hours notice so that we may provide service to others.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If unable to keep your appointment, kindly give 48 hour notice; we reserve the right to charge for time appointed – a minimum of $100.00 per appointment.
